Dr. Darren Lowell Hirsch, MD is fellowship-trained in the fields of Allergy and Immunology and is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. He received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College, his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Hirsch then went on to complete his Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Hofstra North Shore â€“ LIJ School of Medicine in Great Neck, NY. Dr. Hirsch is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society, and the New York Allergy and Asthma Society. Dr. Hirsch and his team have went above and beyond to help me. I had hives for 3 weeks, he listened to me and genuinely cared about how I was feeling. Dr. Hirsch was very thorough and ordered multiple tests to be done to find the root cause. While waiting for my results, he prescribed one medication that wasn't fully effective and when I called his office to notify them and ask for help, they were extremely accommodating and were able to see me within 2 days to give me a different medication that has finally made me free of hives. I was absolutely miserable and he was able to help me get back to normal. I can't even express in words how grateful I am. I now boast about how good of a doctor I have and recommend anyone with allergy issues to see him.

I had a very difficult time getting to the office and was basically in tears when I arrived. Dr. Hirsch and his staff were incredibly compassionate and worked me in. I’ve been struggling for 6 mos to get to the bottom of this congestion issue, and I think he and his team—together with Dr. Kelly in your Riverhead office—are going to get me to the answer. He’s a great doctor and just as important a reslly great human.
