Great doctor! Very transparent.

I would just like to comment, that although I had just gone through my first major surgery, I found Dr. Farres to be very skilled and caring. From the very start, he gained my confidence. The rest of the staff was equally as wonderful. I hope I will never need any other surgery, but if I do, I hope Dr. Farres will be right there.

I am forever gracious to Dr. Fares. I had been to 2 different emergency rooms 5 times and had numerous MRIs that could not detect the cause of my severe abdominal pain that had been occurring over the span of 2 months. Dr. Fares was called in to do emergency exploratory surgery after no painkiller, not even morphine could help my excruciating pain. Dr. Fares discovered an internal hernia. My husband was told that had I not had the hernia repair I would have been dead in 3 days. Dr. Fares followed up with me in the hospital and then in his office for 2 months following the repair and made sure I had fully recovered. He displayed the utmost concern for my health and that is truly appreciated.

My niece had lap band surgery by this so called doctor. She is presently in the hospital with problems directly resulting from the lap band and this so called doctor won't remove it because she doesn't presently have insurance (she was out of work & just started a new job.) It sounds like he is willing to make a buck but not take responsibility when something goes wrong. He is obviously in it to make a buck, so beware.

Fares is terrific. I felt comfortable and taken care of. He takes the time to educate and ensures that you understand your illnass. My only problem was his schedule. He runs late often. REALLY LATE. I waited an hour and 20 minutes. He was good but my time is valuable too.

I have recently had gastric bypass surgery by this MD. The office has had 3 dietitians in less than a year and now has none. I am 5 weeks post-surgery and desperately need guidance on food and nutrition. I have uncomfortable GI problems which staff say is "normal". I was REFERRED OUT OF THE OFFICE to find my own dietitian and will have to pay my co-pay when I am covered for this service as surgery after-care. Like most insurance, my ability to see a nutritionist is limited to 3 visits per year. Hope I can resolve the problems I have had eating since my stomach and intestines have been sliced & diced. Go to an office which has all the specialized services you need for a successful weight loss procedure.

I cannot recommend this office. It is very busy and professional staff are sometimes uncaring in their interaction with patients. I know others who go here. They push gastric bypass and come on, this is a serious operation and life change. 3 nutritionists come & gone in under one year. Newest one doesn't have a clue. Front office staff are super. App't wait time has improved in the last few months.

Kind, patient, caring, thorough, understanding, skilled, knowledgable...you name it! He is the BEST! His office staff is great too...especially John - what a gem!
