Dr. Chrysopoulo is an amazing breast reconstruction surgeon. I was concerned traveling out of state to have my diep flap procedure after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After my initial consultation with Dr. C., I knew I was in great hands. His bedside manner is very calming. This is important as the surgery is 8-10 hours and you need a Dr. that will put your anxieties to rest. He explains what to expect and what steps he will take to ensure you get the best outcome. I have been living with breast Cancer and the after effects for 16 years, as of this month. It has truly been a life changing experience. When I decided to pursue reconstruction, I spent years doing my due diligence by collecting information, consultations with reconstructive doctors, talking to other breast Cancer patients and so on. Dealing with chemo, radical mastectomy and radiation, the last thing you feel like going through is more surgeries and breast reconstruction. I researched, decided on a DIEP flap and thankful I found PRMA. Every step throughout the process was explained well, discussed and Dr C made it the best experience possible. From the first time I stepped into the office at PRMA, I felt nothing but confidence in their ability to do my breast reconstruction. When I first came to PRMA, I knew I had to get my BMI down in order to be in a safe zone to have my surgery. I wanted to have the surgery badly but weight wise, I had a long way to go. However, I did lose some weight but not as much as I wanted. When I expressed my concern over the weight I didn't lose, nurse Denise and Dr. C focused and congratulated me on the weight I did lose. I truly thank God for the two of them because they have kept me encouraged throughout his journey. While these two are an awesome team, this entire facilities is awesome!!
